Leng Review report: patients views and experiences of physician associates The independent Leng Review funded the Patients Association to deliver this project to help ensure that its work and recommendations are informed by the views and experiences of patients and carers. The project was designed to give patients and carers the chance to relay their perceptions of physician associates (PAs), their experience of care, choice and understanding, as well as potential improvements that could be made in future. Alongside this overarching analysis of the three focus groups, summaries of the three sessions were shared with the Leng Review after they took place. This was designed to ensure that insights from patients and carers informed the Leng Review’s work on an ongoing basis. This project follows on from work on PAs led by Healthwatch and supported by the Patients Association and National Voices. This included a survey which found a lack of clarity on several issues related to PAs. Many of these themes were also raised by patients in this project. Download the report Manage Cookie Preferences
