Responding to the Department of Health and Social Care's announcement that 100 Community Diagnostic Centres (CDCs) now have extended opening hours, Rachel Power, Chief Executive of Patients Association said:

“Patients tell us that getting vital tests, scans and checks at a time and location that works for them can make a huge difference. We’ve called for expanding the ambitions for Community Diagnostic Centres and we’re pleased that more people will be able to fit appointments around their lives, especially for those managing work, caring responsibilities or other commitments.

"To make sure this progress reaches everyone, it’s vital that these centres are also located in the communities that need them most, including underserved neighbourhoods, so no one is left behind.”
