We know from research that people don’t always have a say in decisions about their healthcare as much as they would like to. The Patients Association would like to know more about people’s experiences so we can improve health services. We have chosen to focus on a common heart condition called angina. One common treatment option for angina is planned coronary angioplasty (also known as heart stents/stenting). Our goal is to make a toolkit to help patients, doctors, and nurses work together when thinking about having this treatment.

We want to hear from you if you or someone you care for have been offered planned treatment with heart stents. We are looking for ten patients and carers to attend an online workshop on 7th August. In the workshop, we will talk about what you feel is important when working with doctors to make decisions about treatment. We will also discuss how to improve this process in the future.

The workshop will be online via Zoom. Participants must be 18 or older and have been offered heart stents in the UK either as a patient or a carer of a patient. Participants should be comfortable using Zoom.

The selected participants will receive an £80 voucher for attending the workshop.
